With the development of sealing technology for high pressure environment, the requirements for sealing performance are more and more stringent. The high pressure sealing technology is widely used in EOG, chemical industry, aerospace and other fields. MEC seal is a non-metal sealing ring which is used under high pressure, with good corrosion resistance, high pressure resistance and resistance to extrusion deformation.

Metal end cap seal is a sealing ring with a metal end cap based on the O-ring. The main failure form of conventional O-ring is rubber extrusion into the sealing gap, or extrusion explosion, but the metal end cap of the MEC seal can effectively prevent the elastomer from pressing into the gap and prevent direct contact between the medium and the elastomer. Its structure is that both ends are metal-end caps, the middle is the elastomer, and the metal is bonded with the elastomer by vulcanization. Combining the high elasticity of rubber with the high strength of metal, the sealing performance of MEC seal is greatly improved to obtain better strength and corrosion resistance, wear resistance.

The elastomer can be HNBR, FKM, AFLAS which is depended on the customers’application, and the metal usually is stainless steel 316.
