Types of Hydraulic Cylinder Seals
A hydraulic cylinder seal is a critical component in hydraulic systems, designed to prevent fluid leakage and maintain pressure within the cylinder. These seals ensure the efficient operation and longevity of hydraulic cylinders by keeping the hydraulic fluid contained and separating different fluid areas to avoid contamination.
Types of Hydraulic Cylinder Seals
1.Rod Seals: Prevent fluid leakage from the cylinder along the piston rod.
2.Piston Seals: Seal the piston to prevent fluid from leaking across the piston.
3.Wiper Seals/Scrapers: Remove contaminants from the piston rod as it retracts into the cylinder.
4.Buffer Seals: Absorb pressure spikes and help protect the rod seals.
5.Wear Rings/Guide Rings: Provide a bearing surface to support the piston or rod, reducing wear and maintaining alignment.
