V-packings and Chevron Stacks are used in various Oilfield Downhole equipment such as various Valves etc. They significantly decrease the hazard of hidden gaps, flow lines, and inlet expansions. They are extremely suitable for usage in medium to heavy duty applications.

V-packings and Chevron Stacks can withstand temperatures of between -45°C to +260°C, and pressure of up to 30,000 PSI and beyond depending on an application.

JST Seals also design and produce custom-made chevron stacks for specific installations. In the assembly, the energized axial force is transmitted between each packing ring, so that each packing ring forms positive contact with the surface of the mating hardware.

They are situated amongst male and female adapters fitted at the top and bottom, therefore they improve execution and prevent extrusion. Furthermore, this makes a multi-lip packing adequate for mechanically demanding environments in rod and piston applications. V-packings are designed for use in rods & pistons, presses, plungers & rams, and other hydraulic installations. They are obtainable in a selection of rubber and fabric compositions subject to installation demands.

Materials

The Vee packing stack's material could be PEEK and modified PTFE, It has good elasticity, sealing efficiency and extrusion resistance.
