The function of wear rings is to absorb forces in a piston and/or rod hydraulic cylinder, while eliminating metal to metal contact. Wear ring can extend the life of a hydraulic system: it’s faster and less expensive to replace a wear ring than an entire cylinder.

The Guiding/Wear ring is a roll of tape that can be cut to a specific length according to the customer’s specifications. The wear ring or guide strip can be made of “integrated” embossing. Embossing is a set of lubricant pockets (also known as teardrop structures) that can improve friction. Several types of cutting can be performed.
