As we know FKM is fluororubber, also known as Viton. A kind of highly fluorinated polymers that are suitable for continuous use at elevated temperatures. So what FFKM means?
Obviously, FKM and FFKM have some relationship, also share many similarities. But What does that extra F mean?
JST seals are here to tell you what is FFKM.
FFKM, or perfluoroelastomer, It’s a kind of sealing material whatever material application or price are much higher than FKM. FFKM Contains more fluorine and has a higher temperature rating, up to about 325℃. Also improved chemical resistance, compatible with almost all chemicals.
FFKM for chemical applications can withstand up to 1600 types of chemicals, including acids, alkalis, organic solvents, aromatics, corrosive gases, amines, esters, oils.
