Why T-seal can replace O ring in rod application
The T-seal is developed to replace the existing O-ring in the long-life hydraulic and pneumatic system, because the O-ring rolls in the sealing groove, which is easy to cause screw failure. Their ability to fit into existing grooves means they can be retrofitted without rework or major modifications to existing hardware designs, simplifying field changes and new equipment manufacturing.
The T-seal is useful when the seal may be squeezed because the spare part of the T-seal acts as an anti-extrusion device. Compared with standard O-ring design, it has better RGD resistance and lower temperature sealing performance due to higher extrusion and gland filling levels. Due to the extrusion resistance of T-seal geometry, higher system pressure can be used, which greatly reduces the possibility of seal failure.
T-seals are a well proven long-term product that can be used directly in the most popular industries to replace O-rings for rod applications.
