JST manufactures a variety of P seals. The standard P Seal is a one-piece molded seal utilizing molded-in anti-extrusion device. This design enhances assembly by eliminating the loose anti-extrusion devices used in other designs.

P seal can be used to seal rough casing and tubing. The standard material is HNBR85 to 90 durometer, and the material should be suitable for PU or LU temperature rating. The material can meet the API 6A NORSORK-M710 requirements.

I. Test Purpose

1.To test the sealing and pressure holding performance of the seal.

2.To verify the reliability of the316SS back up ring.

II. Test Method

1.Pressure holding test:

Hold the pressure for 1 hour at 16000Psi

2.Criteria:

If there is no water droplets on the sealing end face. When pressure drop is ≤500Psi, it is considered as good sealing effect.

Pressure and Time curve.Test pressure is16000Psi, holding pressure is 1 hour.

V.Conclusion

1.Pressure curve is stable, when pressure drop is＜500Psi, sealing end face not have water droplets. No leakage was found.

2. The sealing performance is good under pressure of16000Psiby water.
