Hydraulic PTFE wiper seal

The pollutant particles in the hydraulic system are the primary factor causing seal damage and short service life. The particles mainly enter the system through the piston rod. Wipers are installed in the sealing configurations of hydraulic cylinders to prevent contaminants such as dirt, dust and moisture from entering the cylinder as they retract back into the system.

Wiper seal is the most neglected seal crack in hydraulic cylinder. But it is the same as piston seal and piston rod seal. The selection of dust ring should be carefully and standardized according to the requirements. Its surrounding environment and working conditions must be specially considered.

When designing, the dust ring must not only adapt to the piston rod (dynamic function), but also play a sealing role in the groove (static function).
