Ring type joints for valve pressure testing

Ring type joints were initially developed for high pressure and temperature applications found in the petroleum industry and are primarily used in the oil field on drilling and completion equipment. Now this product series is also used on valve and pipe components and some high integrity pressure vessel joints.

There’re mainly three standard styles: BX, R, RX. The ring type joints made from nylon is good for valve pressure test. It is a no damaging method to test and re-certify ring type joint flanges.

The special shaped profile energizes the seal in the groove under pressure, retrofitting into R or BX ring type joint gasket grooves.

Under ideal flange, and test conditions, installation. Our client enjoy the resiliency of our nylon test gaskets, getting more than a hundred tests with our R style and dozens of tests with our BX style. Available for classes 150#, 300#, 400#, 600#, 900#, 1500# and 2500#

It is more cost-effective than PU Test ring and life time is longer.

R & RX styles

R style ring type joint gaskets are available in oval and octagonal designs. The oval design can be used in older round bottom gland designs, while both can be used in a flat bottom design.

RX style is replaceable with R style octagonal gaskets designed for API 6B flanges. RX outperform R style in situations that have higher pressures with more intense vibrations. RX gaskets are available up to 5,000 PSI.

BX style

BX style operates in 20,000 psi with non interchangeability. BX style has a pressure passage hole for pressure equalization on each sealing face sides.
