A glass filled nylon wear ring, also called wear band, offers high bearing load capacity over a broad range of temperatures. The function of the wear ring is to guide the piston and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder, as well as to withstand arising side loads. At the same time, it prevents any metal-to-metal contact, which will damage and score the surfaces and eventually cause seal damage, leakage and component damage.
The mechanical properties of nylon reinforced with glass fiber showed that the tensile strength and flexural strength of the materials increased significantly with the increase of glass fiber.
Adding 40% glass fiber into nylon, the mechanical properties, dimensional stability, heat resistance, aging resistance and fatigue strength of nylon are significantly improved.
JST offers 40% glass filled nylon wear rings. This material is a standard material for reciprocating wear rings; it offers excellent bearing properties compatible with hydraulic and lubricating oils. The material can be either injection molded or machined depending on the size or quantity required.

Wear rings are used to help keep the piston centered, allowing for even wear and pressure distribution on the seals. Wear rings are used in both piston and rod applications.
The function of a hydraulic wear ring is to guide the piston and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder, absorbing transverse forces. At the same time, it prevents metal-to-metal contact, optimizing the performance of the sealing system.
Phenolic wear rings are designed with tubing made from fine weave cotton fabric wound on molds and imbued with phenolic resin. It has high mechanical properties, good oil resistance, low water absorption and high wear resistance.
Rod seals are static seals installed in glands or housings to prevent the leakage of fluid from within a cylinder to the outside as the rod cycles.
Liner Wiper Plugs separates drilling fluid from cement during displacement.
Spring energized PTFE seals consist of variety of jacket profiles and spring types. It can achieve the sealing effect compensation under different pressure conditions by spring energizer.
The pump plunger sealing system is adopted in the pump, which can effectively prevent the damage caused by water leakage and prevent the pump failure caused by the plunger friction overheating.
Wellhead secondary pack off seal is used to seal the hanger to the wellhead.
