PTFE guide and wear strip

Guide and wear strips can keep the piston centered as well as preventing metal-to-metal contact. The metal-to-metal contact will damage and score the surfaces and eventually cause seal damage, leakage and component damage. It is used to guide the piston and piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder to absorb the transverse force，optimizing the performance of the sealing system.

The PTFE guide strip is machined, and all JST’s PTFE guide strip are rounded to install in the groove with conventional rounding radius, which reduces the risk of damage to the edge of the guide strip or high friction due to wedge movement, which is caused by the radius at the bottom of the groove.

PTFE guide strip is suitable for light load or occasions where other designs are not allowed due to medium, temperature, friction or speed.
